Your Istrian Home Base
A Holiday House in Istria for 8 Guests
The whole 300-year-old stone cottage to yourselves — 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a walled Mediterranean garden, and Marijana's little black book of Istria. Near Pula, minutes from the sea.
Room for your whole group
Whether it's two families sharing the summer, a reunion of old friends, or three generations under one roof, the house was built for gathering. Everyone gets a proper bed and their own bathroom — no drawing straws, no queuing in the morning.
And because you have the entire cottage and garden to yourselves, the long dinners under the fig tree run as late as you like.
How everyone sleeps
Bedroom 1 — a queen bed (and a crib, if you're travelling with a little one).
Bedroom 2 — two single beds, perfect for kids or friends.
The attic bedroom — a queen bed and two sofa beds, and the room everyone quietly hopes to get.
Everything you need, already here

You're in Ližnjan, a quiet village at Istria's southern tip — a short drive from Pula and its Roman arena, and just five minutes from the nearest beach. Cape Kamenjak's wild coves are a little further south.

Booked directly with Marijana
I grew up within these walls, and I still look after every stay myself. Ask me anything — the beach the tourists never find, where to get the best burek, which konoba is worth the drive. That's the part guests remember.
Good to know
How many people can stay?
Up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom — a queen, two singles, and an attic with a queen and two sofa beds.
How much does it cost?
Rates start from €145 per night and vary by season — check current availability for your exact dates.
Can we bring pets?
Not on this one, I'm afraid — the house and garden are kept pet-free.
How far are the airport and the sea?
Pula is about a 15-minute drive away, with its airport just beyond it, and the nearest beach is only five. A car is the easiest way to explore Istria.
